Write an Email: a clear structure that scores
You read a short situation and write an email that covers three required points. It tests clear, polite and well-organised writing for a real purpose.
Format
- About seven minutes.
- A situation plus three bullet points you must address.
- No word minimum, but 120–180 words is a good target.
Strategy
- Greeting → one-sentence purpose → one short paragraph per bullet → polite closing.
- Use each bullet as a paragraph so you cannot forget one.
- Add one specific detail per point (a time, a reason, an example).
Common traps
- Missing one of the three points — the most common way to lose marks.
- A tone that is too casual for a teacher or official.
