Take an Interview: 45-second answers
A researcher asks you four questions on one theme, moving from personal experience to opinion and prediction. You answer each in 45 seconds with no preparation time.
Format
- Four questions, 45 seconds each.
- No preparation time.
- Questions move from personal to abstract.
Strategy
- Answer shape: direct answer → reason → example → short wrap-up.
- Use the first two seconds to repeat the key idea of the question.
- If you finish early, add a second example instead of stopping.
Common traps
- Long pauses at the start while you plan.
- Answering a different, easier question.
